1/12/2024 0 Comments Free instals StonekeepOUT OF MEMORY allocating: cache memory (535237147 bytes) The OTHER_OS parameter is critical, and it will probably crash with: I don't think I've ever seen that happen using VDMSound. The setup doesn't seem to detect it and when I chose MIDI, the game would play, but without background music. For some reason, I couldn't get MIDI to work at all. All of them worked, including the full-screen option. The good news was that I could simply choose my video options and save them in the configuration. The other thing I discovered was that the "Test Movie Resolution" crashed the setup program every time, regardless of what video setting was chosen. So don't skip the configuration after installing. I found that attempting to run setup after installation without having saved an audio/video configuration caused the setup program to quit with a message complaining that it couldn't find a configuration file. Normally, I try to install the game first, then defer configuring the game until I can run setup in the game's directory instead of the setup on the CD (this is because I like to tweak the MIDI settings at my leisure). So if you are using an earlier version it may behave differently. In any case, I went back and tried this myself and discovered a few things.įirst, I have to point out that I was using v1.2 of Stonekeep from the "Interplay 15th Anniversary" collection. Just to be sure, you have already read this thread?
